Are you in a style rut, and looking for ways to update your appearance? Perhaps you’re no longer happy with what you see in the mirror, and want to start making the most of your looks. You might have even recently gone through a rough breakup and feel like making a change- after all, it’s a great way to find your identity and feel beautiful again. Either way, if you want to transform your looks, here are some of the ways you can go about it!
Change your hair
Just this one change can make a massive difference to a person’s appearance. If you hair was previously long, how about a trendy short cut? If you’ve worn it short for a while, you could consider some extensions so you can play around with new styles. If it was dark, some highlights would lighten it up, or darkening blonde or light brown hair could give you a sultry, vampy appearance. It’s always best to visit the hairdresser for any kind of dramatic change, they can bring your vision to life but do it in a way that works with your appearance and hair type.
Switch from glasses to contacts (or vice versa)
If you’ve always rocked your specs, how about making a change by trying out contact lenses? They can be tricky to get used to at first, but you might find them more practical and it’s a sure way to change your appearance. If you usually wear contacts, how about giving your glasses another go? Even if your vision is ok, you can get fashion glasses with clear lenses. They’re a fun way to switch up your look and can give a fun, flirty appearance or you could go geek chic depending on the frames you use.
Experiment with a new makeup look
Makeup is a fantastic tool. It can be used to accentuate your appearance, or it can make you look completely different depending on how you apply it. If you’re new to makeup, you could start light. A little concealer or foundation to even out your complexion, a touch of blush and mascara can make you look glowy and the best version of yourself.
If you want to go more dramatic, you could experiment with contour to sculpt your face, add smokey eye shadow, liner and false lashes to your eyes and play with lip colors. There are lots of tutorials on YouTube, and you can buy good makeup surprisingly cheaply from drugstores. So you don’t need to go out and spend a fortune to get started.
Work on your physique
Regardless of what size or shape you are now, doing a little exercise and eating a healthier diet will improve the way you look. This could help you to tone up and generally feel better in your clothes. If you work hard, over the months you can completely change your body shape by losing weight, gaining muscle and generally sculpting your body.
