My First Ipsy Glam Bag!
I didn’t start wearing make until my late twenties. There are a couple of reason as to why that is but one of the main reasons is because make-up is just too damn expensive. Enter ipsy. For those that aren’t familiar, ipsy is service created by popular beauty blogger Michelle Phan that sends you 5 beauty products in a pretty little glam bag for $10 a month. 5 beauty products for $10 is a pretty sweet deal so I thought I’d go ahead and give it a try. Here’s my review of the February glam bag from ipsy!
I am ALWAYS here for a good lipstick! This lipstick from NYX is from their Butter Lipsticks line which comes in 12 shades and has a light, satin finish. Personally, I am a fan of bolder lipsticks and felt this particular hue was a little too soft for me. I also prefer lipsticks that last long. One sip of my morning coffee and this lipstick was already coming off. Overall, I liked lipstick but I probably would not purchase on my own and will more than likely stick to the lipstick that I wear currently.
The #1 thing I learned about applying makeup is that you MUST have a good brush. Like its an absolute MUST. I’m not familiar with the Luxie Beauty brand so I’m not sure where they rank on the list of professional makeup tools, but after using the brush a few times I can say that I am satisfied and would be open to purchasing more tools from them. The bristles are super soft and it picks up product really well!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS STUFF! It’s light-weight, not greasy and it looks GREAT on my complexion. Love, love, love this!
Here’s another product in the glam bag that I absolutely LOVED. This product smells amazing and leaves your skin feeling so soft and smooth. Here are some details of its ingredients – This silky Hand & Body Milk contains a luxe blend of Shea Butter and Macadamia Oil that deeply nourishes. With added Extracts of Wild Rose, Hibiscus and Fig it revitalises and hydrates the skin, leaving it perfectly soft and with a lingering scent.
The hue of Leave A Text is like a bluish, grayish color that I wasn’t super excited about BUT it is a great everyday neutral color for all my fellow professional ladies out there!
