Ledisi Announces The Rebel, The Soul & The Saint Tour with Kirk Franklin

One of my blog readers is hitting the road ya’ll! Who’s excited to see Ledisi live and in concert?

On the heels of the announcement for the release of her highly anticipated upcoming album Let Love Rule, Ledisi announced plans for her headlining national tour titled the The Rebel, The Soul & The Saint Tour set to kick off this fall. Kirk Franklin will be serving as co-headliner with Ledisi and special guest include R&B artists PJ Morton and Major. “This tour is non-traditional on purpose. The goal is not to alienate anyone, bringing all people together and to perform music that inspires and reflect the human experience” Ledisi said in a statement. “How awesome will it be to see all these wonderful people on stage, fearlessly expressing life, spirit and love through music.”

The nine-time Grammy nominated singer is set to release her ninth studio album, Let Love Rule, on September 22. “I feel like like Let Love Rule made me accept my position as a great singer fully.” Ledisi says. “All of my projects are pieces of me. This piece is the singer and the songwriter part of me. I’ve come back to what I love about R&B and also what I love about today’s music. I love my art in the middle of era’s and mixing those worlds together.”

“High”, Ledisi’s first single from the upcoming project, has seen heavy rotation on Urban AC radio and continues to climb up Billboard’s R&B Charts. The DJ Camper-produced track was written by Ledisi, Prince Charlez and Rex Rideout.

Let Love Rule is currently available for pre-order on iTunes. VIP presale for the tour begins Aug. 28, while general tickets go on sale Aug 29.
