Clothes can be a lot of fun, and if you’re a fashion lover you’ll enjoy nothing more than putting together outfits each day. But if you’re finding your clothes aren’t fitting you the way you want them too or are just struggling feeling good in what you wear, there are some ways to remedy this problem. Here are a few of them.
Work on your physique
Regardless of whether you’re slim, curvy or anywhere in between, spending a little time on your physique can definitely make your clothes fit better. Start eating healthily, and get active- three nights a week at the gym will have you seeing results before you know it. Toning up a little is sometimes all that’s needed to have your clothes fitting the way that they should, it’s not to say you need to reach a certain size but work with what you have. If you feel happy and comfortable the size that you’re at, exercise will sculpt and shape you and do just about every cell and organ in your body a favor too.
Know your body shape
Knowing your body shape can make shopping for clothes much easier, as you’ll know from the outset what is likely to suit you. From the cut to the length to where the waist sits, do some research and find out what your shape is based on your measurements and what sort of things to look for. It’s not to say you can’t break the rules if you want to, but it can avoid some of the frustrations of shopping. There’s nothing worse than when an item looks great on the model or mannequin but completely different when you try it on yourself, understanding your body shape and how things are likely to fit will avoid this.
Consider custom clothing
We’re all built differently, and if you’re struggling to find items that look right- or just want something tailor made to you then why not consider custom clothing? Especially if you’re going to a special event and really want to look the part. There are companies that offer everything from custom high end men’s suits to women’s dresses, evening gowns and everything in between. If you’re fed up of off the rack clothing just not suiting your body then this is a great option.
Finally, accessorizing is a great way to make the most of the clothes in your wardrobe. They enable you to dress things up or down for different occasions without having to constantly purchase new things. For example, a dress worn with heels and a blazer is perfect for a formal occasion, but that same dress could easily be worn with tights, boots and a cardigan for a more casual daytime look. Things like jewelry, hats, bags and shoes can all be incorporated into your looks.
