Work On Your Kitchen

You’re only as good as the tools you use, or so they say. While you might think ‘a knife is a knife,’ this isn’t true. People have the idea that they can get away with any old kitchen equipment, but it’s not true – the better your equipment is, the easier everything becomes. They taste much better than the ones you can buy in the supermarket, which have usually traveled many hundreds of miles before they arrive on your plate.

Once you’ve got the knack of being in the kitchen, you’ll want to mix up the ingredients that you’re using. One of the great things about living in the modern world is that you can use ingredients from all over the world in your meals! You often hear people say, “I spent an hour cooking, and only five minutes eating.” Well, whose fault is that? If you’re going to cook your meals, it’s worthwhile learning the art of eating. It is not something that has to be done and dusted in a few mouthfuls. Savor the experience by actually eating your food. And by that, we mean giving it your full, undivided attention. Focus on the food, not the television!

Once you’re confident that you can prepare a meal with success, it’s time to really enjoy the magic of cooking: sharing it with other people. Invite your friends and family around, and have a meal.
