Many times I have felt overwhelmed and stuck in life. Having too much on my plate, feeling like I haven’t met my career goals, and having financial woes can real take a toll on a person. I get to place where I hear myself constantly saying things like “I’m too tired”, “I can’t do it”, “I’m stressed out” or my most favorite excuse…“I just don’t have the energy”
Affirmations are necessary to keep your subconscious in check. Play no games, these short and simple phrases are POWERFUL. Research proves “timely affirmations have been shown to improve education, health, and relationship outcomes, with benefits that sometimes persist for months and years.” Whenever I feel like Jesus needs to take the wheel in my life, I deal with those feelings by writing down affirmations for each day in my calendar. Here are a few of my favorites.
I AM WORKING AS HARD AS I CAN
Sometimes no matter how hard you work, people can make you feel that its never good enough. Whether you work a 9-5 or you’re about that entrepreneur life, we spend a lot of our time at work and we take pride in what we do. How often do we give ourselves credit for our hard work? I say this affirmation to myself when my work life gets overwhelming.
I DESERVE THE BEST LIFE HAS TO OFFER
It’s super easy to look at what everyone else is doing and feel just a tinge of jealousy. When it seems like everyone around you is taking exotic trips with bae and the only thing you have to look forward to is a marathon of Martin on MTV 2, it can seem like you are missing out on all the good things that life has to offer. The gag is, in order to get those things you have to WORK for them. This affirmation always kicks my grindmode in to high gear because not only do I WANT the best…hell I DESERVE it!
I LOVE AND ACCEPT MYSELF
Self love and acceptance is the first step in being able to find and receive love. This is a fact. Listen ya’ll, some days just royally suck. We all have bad days and that’s okay. Loving and accepting yourself is being able to take those not so good days that’s plagued with negative energy and turn them into loving, positive moments. Nobody is perfect! Take the time to love and accept you…flaws and all!
I WANT TO BE MY BEST SELF
Mentally, Physically, Spiritually, Emotionally…I want to be the best version of myself. This affirmation is currently the screen saver on my phone. When my ass gets lazy and don’t feel like working out…I see this on my phone. Whenever the procrastination bug kicks in and i get distracted on social media…I see this on my phone. Being your best self is HARD work ya’ll. If you want to attract good spirits and energy, its important that we be our best selves!
I AM ENOUGH!
There’s always someone out there that tries to steal your joy. Don’t let em’ do it ya’ll! You are enough and if anyone thinks otherwise then that is their loss!
